The Society
The membership of the Richmond Archaeological Society ranges from professional archeologists to interested amateurs It is mainly known for a lively programme of lectures on all aspects of archaeology on a Friday of each month from September to May. (for map & details see "Future Programme"). It also organises excursions and acts as a forum for local activities.
For those who like to get their hands dirty, the society supplies volunteer support to local activities such as: -
¤   Excavations by the TV programme 'Time Team'at Syon Abbey and the royal palaces of Richmond and Kew
¤   The Museum of London project to survey the Thames foreshore
¤   Each year we provide guides for the excavations at Syon House
